On Saturday Abby, Tristan, Grandma Carlson and I ventured to the county fair. The day was very warm and humid, but we stayed long enough to watch a circus show and go on a few rides.
The kids kicked it off with a ride on a real elephant. Some strangers were kind enough to join them for the picture.
The most prominent (and therefore most imperative) ride was the ferris wheel. It was the kids' first time on one. Smiles all around.
The "Himalayan" was about as fast as we got, and became Abby's favorite ride. My neck started to hurt after about the 20th time around.
The little circus had tigers and show dogs and acrobats and carnies aplenty. These tigers specialized in jumping over one another.
Waiting for the next act.
We also got to feed a bunch of barnyard animals some carrot slices.
Waiting for Abby to get done with a ride.
Ready to head back to the car. A great time was had all around; it was only tainted by my increasingly sore throat.
